Sony NEX-VG20 sample videos

It looks like this camera made quite a excitement after it was officially announced to hit the shelves by November 2011. Makes a great companion with the Panasonic AF100/101/102 or the Sony FS100. This is what the Sony NEX-VG10 should’ve been but it’s not too late. I wouldn’t want to get too deep into camera talks but it’s a camera I’m looking forward to play with.

Here’s some info on the specs and video samples taken with the Sony NEX-VG20 which may be useful to fellow video makers! (Note: The below specs apply to the Sony NEX-VG20E which is the PAL version)

And you be the judge of quality from these videos.

A sensor crop of 1.5x, which makes it very similar with 3rd party lenses compared to my Canon 60D. Their new 50mm with stabilization and adjustable aperture adapters which are available cheaper today. Lovely.

Here’s a useful video demonstration of the Sony NEX-VG20.

However, it is yet to be known how well this camera performs in low light conditions.
